Is it possible to assign a controller to turn a VST on/off?

Normally I don't require this but for one VST, this would be really useful, and that is Glitch. I am also basing this question on using this VST in a live situation.
Currently Glitch scrolls through a pattern whenever it is on, but if that pattern is over 4 bars, and the tune I am playing adds an extra bar in here or there (on build ups for example) the pattern becomes out of sync.
However, if I were able to turn Glitch on when I needed to use it, it would always begin to scroll from the beginning, and solve my problem.

Yes. See my first suggestionmarkone wrote:OK.
To throw something into the equation. I'm using Glitch in a Dummy Clip. Is there the ability to turn the actual VST on in the dummy clip or just adjust the parameters?
Map a macro to the on/off button and you can map the 7 other macro's to any of the available parameters in glitch.

i usually make a bunch of instances of glitch and just draw in the automation for device on/off for each instance. this gets around the limited 64 steps (or whatever) that glitch gives you to sequence on. so if glitch 1 is on, glitch 2-10 are off, when glitch 2 turns on, glitch 1,3,4,5.....10 are off. it may seem like a pain, but often i'm sloppy and forget to turn some of them off but that's when other cool things start to happen.
