hahahahah,

Man, as a newbie to this board,

(I was actually searching for info about the Motu Ultralite,

as I'm about to buy one....)

This is the funniest/best thread I've come across in a while!

so, that being said, what's up everyone!

So how's that for spiritual perspective and understanding!?! Ha, I make myself laugh/sick sometimes...
interestingly enough, a coulpe of the comments in this thread have put me in mind of that woman "Jane Elliot" the anti-racism campaigner who runs workshops and made a doco called "blue eyed" (look it up if you havent heard of it - i think there's a www.janeelliot.com )
I must have missed this...

What do I really know about oppression on that level? Not much...

I looked into Jane Elliott and I'm gonna be spending some time with her ideas. I recognize in myself that the battle against racism goes deeper than I ever realized, especially when considering that I participate in a society that benefits from, and engages in, the oppression of many groups of people.

Sorry, just seeing a lot of classic threads popping up!

This one might have been the funniest...

Holy crap, I just read this entire thread and laughed my ass off...I knew there was a reason I keep coming back to this forum (aside from all the great help I get)

I just want to know if Dianna Ayanna ever came back...LOL

will definitely read the thread in the spare time but I wonder if she is real ? First i suspected Bounce invented her, then the myspace thing really woke my curiosity since the only song there has a hindi title- Abhi Jao in free translation "get a fuck out of here". Didnt manage to find out why- there is nothing Indian to it but if you think your lyrics, rhymes suck then you must listen to it, actually really funny though listening entire song was too painfull for me, maybe the Hindi part comes at the end will never know
Well, if the girl is real and she reads it, I am sorry, for being so sincere, but maybe another hobby will bring you more appreciation and fun.

Sorry dude, you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

I'm Indian and in Hindi Abhi Jao Mera Jana means come over here my darling.

As in any language, context and how words affect meaning and in Hindi compared to English, I find that words and phrases can have many more meanings.

By the way, before trashing other people and their music, let's hear your Grammy winning productions.

Abhi- now, Jao -go and in rather rude way, polite would be jaiye, to come would be Ao or aiye
So "come here my darling" would be "Ao (or aiye) meri Jhaan" Anyway who cares if it is besura aur betala anyway

well, to be fair, i've heard both parties music...

...and frankly, i think both are cornballs.
However -----> diana's voice/lyrics *are* horrible.

and while i don't really dig rikhy's style, i can respect his talent.

i dunno... i mean, the mixing and sound design in diana's track are excellent, but i just can't excuse the content. and i suspect the sound design is just presets anyway...

Diana Ayanna wrote:Hey guys,

I just ditched and switched from Protools to Live. I am just starting to familiarize myself with this new setup and I am a bit overwhelmed. To set up the scenario for which the questions just keep coming......

Equipment: Macbook Pro; Motu Ultralite; Novation Remote SL; and a Revolution

Issues:

1) I have installed all software and connected all hardware except the revolution. The Remote SL has been upgraded for auto mapping.
Can anyone guide me through the proper Live preference settings, as well as the Motu preference settings so that all the equipment works "slaved" to live? (I would like to be able to run midi plus effects from my revolution into Live for both recording and 'live situations" and I need everything to be synched properly.)

2) Are there certain setup features that I should be aware of with the ultralite or Live that are handy to know?
3) Somehow I managed to set my main template page in Live to one of my projects... anyone know how to reset the main template so that it is a blank live session upon opening??

If anyone can help me through any of these issues, please let me know.... I want to know the shortcuts you figured out. . . . . so I can get back to the creative. . .

P.S> I have almost completed the Ableton Live Power Manual as well as the ultralite user guide... but you know sometimes it's just easier learning from the wizards rather than the words....

Thanks,
