Showing only 128 parameters of a vst????

WE WANT MORE OR UNLIMITED CC´s ,
OR: e.g. LET DECIDE THE USER, WHERE THE LIMIT IS - e.g. IN OPTIONSMENU

by microtonicvst a have the same problem, 3 of 8 drumparts cannot be midified, or V-station- some realy nice features like arpeggiator cannot be midified.

We have talked about this in other forums, first we thougt the problems came from the plugins...and i damn´t them...but now...

.....

I know I cannot use Ableton as a LIVE tool when I even must click with the mouse arround- I need customized controll over all parameters- not all -of course but every time there is a CC that is locatet over the 128. parameter.

I try about 4 month to get a good Ableton Live set, but everytime I want to midifie a new VST, this VST is so castrated- so I cannot use it in my live set-
So what Drumsynth I should use- Impulse? - no thanks
Microtonic? - Oh I forget- I can only use 5 drumsections....

... You know what I meen? - I hope so. CHANGE IT NOW!!!!

totally!!!! I also have Microtonic and have to use FL studio if I want to automate it!!!!!

May I suggest to Ableton to implement some kind of user-definable mapping between a vst's plethora of parameters (e.g. 10,000) and a more manageable "working set" of, say 128 (or a user-definable limit per plugin). This would allow Mackie Control to control this working set whilst giving max flexibility. Let's call such a mapping a 'mapset'

I'd also like to see this implemented for Live's internal plugins e.g. operator.

Mapsets should be easily manageable using drag-drop with multi-selection, and saveable and loadable to allow users to swap over the internet. A default mapset should be assignable per plugin.

They know the solution!!!! they told me 2 years ago. at the time they said "maybe not for live5"!!!!

I guess we will have to pressure them A LOT MORE.

Cause I am on the verge of changing software.

For this reason, and because we cannot record knob tweaks in patterns (session view clips)... having automation in patterns is a must. And live sucks big time for that too.

yep, still only 128 in the latest Live 7 beta. probably why the thread on 128 params limit in the 'feature wishlist' forum is still top of the charts, pillng on the '+1' posts. maybe they'll fix it before release but it looks as though it will be left on the 'to do' list

Just heard a interview with "Stefan" Head of Specification at Ableton talking about the new features in Live 7 and one of the last question he´s been asked has been if there will be any further features (except the one everybody knows allready) implemented in Live 7 until the release and the answer was "NO".

So, guess thats it with Live 7 and the "maybe we´ll do that before the release" (as somebody mentioned he has been told from Ableton)

We REALLY have to wait till Live 8...or Live 9...or whatever.
