well, just like any other hardware in session view. Hooked up to your audio interface and midi interface. Well first of all the unit is so small its out of your mind, its almost as if it doesnt exist. Really, its that small and inconspicuous. Second of all - OK, its not as straight forward as a vst ..but....its only an extra two tracks in the session view to achieve the same results only with extra benefit - virtually no cpu hit, (midi track/monitor audio track/record audio track)....and thirdly the patch editor runs silky smooth and very fast, takes about a second to change presets, and most importantly its an awesome graphical interface...
anyways, the culmination of all those things make the experience just as fluid as using an instance of reaktor , for the way I do things at least.....only I dont get a CPU hit from the g2 engine, and all the other benefits that would be obvious...for instance the awesome interface..and using it while the cpu is off...and how awesome the G2 is anyways...and using controllers with it, just the same as vsts - midi learn...etc ....so thats where I was coming from with that statement I made...
I suppose you have to be happy with your soundcard too, I'm happy with mine.
