errrrrr..... what's the MIDI grid?
Errrrr.... i mean the clip view. Where the midi grid of a midi clip would be.peeddrroo wrote:hoffman2k wrote:Or right-click on the MIDI grid.peeddrroo wrote: you can even map the switch to a computer key, B for instance, and hence switch with a single key.

1. Groove Quantize (with the option of loadingyour own templates). Just rip off logic please.
2. Bezier Automation curves
3. Folder tracks
4. Scissors tool
5. less cpu intensive when running warped / disk streaming tracks.
6. Switch off disk streaming for freeze option
7. Drop samples from ram option when freezing tracks. that way when I have a couple of instances of stylus, some EWQSL Gold and Collossus going on my machine doesn't kel over when I try and add some battery percussion or a big old grand multisample.
8 Release Powercore / UAD1 cards when freezing as well. It seems (i might be wrong here tho) that Live keeps a hold of the VSTi / FX when freezing so i can still only use 4x4 instances of the powercore virus for example. Therefore the freeze function imo could be a lot more useful. . .
9. the ability to select multiple volume faders and move them all at the same time (if i am being a retard and you can already do this please tell me!)
Some other less simple but equally as useful
More intelligence with freeze, would be great to be able to render a freeze and then edit the midi part in one pbit of it n have it redo only the part of the track that you edited with reverb delay tails added. .
A seperate version of live for 'live' use and one for studio use. You already haver two different working paradigms accessed by pressing tab. Why not have another by pressing ctrl tab for example?
And, why not allow graphical customisation for the live version. I.e. you can enlarge or reduce certain components, change the look / feel.
That would totally rock and if combined with a 'live' paradigm would keep both the don't add buttons purists as well as the people like me who fin live amazing and want to use it as my primary audio app.
live is wicked but it frustrates me that it is so limited for studio use. I don't want to export to another programme . but if i keep on having to can we perhaps please have a version that would output a logic fileor even an acid file as both of those programmes are much better for mixing.

Have you tried the "Back to Arrangement" button? Or you could de-activate individual clips in Session view.soundpalace wrote:My wishlist goes something like this...

I'm pleased that Live is solid and I know how to use it. The new file manglement system makes me sad. There are dozens of features Ableton should incorporate into Live to step up to other DAWs. There's a forum for this stuff, it ain't here.mercyplease wrote:but what are you really saying you sound neither pleased or displeasedTone Deft wrote:- A collaboration with Cycling '74.

your litte signature must be the funniest one i have ever seen. its the way the puppet in the background punches the dude with its little arms. where is that from anyway?

I can't say I have but I'll give it a try, thanksPitch Black wrote:Have you tried the "Back to Arrangement" button? Or you could de-activate individual clips in Session view.soundpalace wrote:My wishlist goes something like this...

1: choose File / Manage Files from the menuTone Deft wrote:
only Ableton has the ability to make Live packs, others have to make .als files to get the data into the library, rather than just making a .alp file
