monome 40h SOLD OUT

Post by Johnisfaster » Tue May 01, 2007 5:38 am

as most anyone who was slightly interested in monome 40h is aware, there were only 500 made. they have now officially sold out.

anyone smell a highly sought after vintage piece of kit in about 20 years? I'm betting the value of those things will go up quite a bit in that time.

I wasn't at all interested in the 40h.

the 100h is a totally different kettle of fish, though... that thing is haaaandy!

Booh. I quite fancied one for the smallness and the much buttoninty and the blinkenlights.
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

sure, and at 1500 bucks it should be one hell of a deal (half sarcasm)

...which will cost the same, and is (seemingly) without much of a computer connection.

Hey mate, you're starting so come off a bit bitter there... is there something you want to share?

too much for me, that's for sure. but i remember people saying a similar thing about the 40h about 18 months ago. the 100h will sell out as well, i don't see why not.

still, very glad i got one when i did. woot indeed.

no way not at all, i just dont want the 100h being compared to the Lemur because that will falsely justify the $1500 price tag.

Yamaha said they will try to ship the Tenori for 500 GBP which is roughly a 33% saving on the 100h and works well as a standalone unit.

um, there were only 400 made.

the initial run was 200 then they added a 2nd (final) run of 200 more.

the 100h looks amazing!
