Yeah! I saw those (or something very similar a while back. I like the straight grid format. It's inching closer to a Monome in terms of form factor...

I've wanted one of those for awhile, it's just a little pricey. I guess it would be worth it to use single key commands. Definitely would speed up editing and arranging, clip recording, firing...etc..etc.

These are an interesting option too... there's actually a lot of "point-of-sale" keyboards out there that might be useful.

Welcome!

Plug in as many as you want. OSX will see them as separate keyboards.

I use three when sequencing audio, video, and lighting. One is normal keystrokes, the second has shift-lock on, and the third has the alt key taped down.

It gives you loads of keymapping keys to use, and you can use cheapy keyboards and stick labels on the keys to remember what they all do.

Hey that looks fan-fucking tastic, I love the colours and the keys that are off very good thinking to use a normal keyboard.

I'm taking this into consideration. Keyboards are really SOLID as well, you can really bang them around without them breaking.

hi bill,

did you make a tip in order to give an offset to that grid??
I mean: I have 2 songs in same set.
1 song = 8 tracks x 5 scenes
i want to have a 8x5 grid that I could offset from one song to another song...

did you make it?
or do you use "only" one song per set?

Could it work with the "caps lock" key?

Hello chapelier fou (j'adore le pseudo !)

I resume in english in order to be understood by the others.. (even if my english is pOOr !)

I wrote "2 songs"..
But it was just an example..
I would like to offset my assigned "grid" from one song to other..

(I posted here too: http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=83725)

Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

If you wish to use multiple qwerty keyboards to control ableton, check this circuit out: http://www.borg.com/~jglatt/hardware/pc ... dapter.htm
