I know my question is somehow largely debated in lots of posts in lots of topics by there... but I did not find THE topic really focused on it.
I go :
I have a live set containing 13 tracks all chained in the arrangement view, with some automations (FX). It's good to produce precisely my tracks, but it totally sucks on stage, really boring.
I have a virus to play synths, and my drums and samples come from impulses and audio tracks. Say 4 midi tracks to virus, and 10 audio/drums tracks.
I am waiting to receive my new order shipping : FADERFOX LV2
I am since 10 days scrambling my brain to figure out what I want to do and what I can effectively do with this new controller.
I want to be able to SCRAMBLE and DISTORT and DISTURB and SQUEEZE and REMIX and BREAK and TECHNOIZE and ABSTRACTIZE and TOTALLY TWEAKING my so boring determined arrangement "playlist"...
not only FX, I want to be able to hi-jack and short-cut and melt all my arrangement sequence...
creating for each arrangement clip a session clone?
then creating session "blocks" with n scenes re-creating the arrangement basic sequence, but ln loop style,
then be able to scroll and warp from one scene to another following the feeling...
Shall I totally get rid of the arrangement concept to really get free?
Will the LV2 bring me the tools for it?
(I know dudes, don't even mention it. I have a lemur one day, but today is the day of the faderfox, penny penny ! )
thanks for all kind of thoughts, manners, tips, opinions, how do you process your live session?
ps: this is no kind of mp3 mixing. all samples are just voices or sounds, the rest is only midi clips (impulse, virus).
cheers
