i would rather not have a full version update, but a version 6.2.
slow the expansion of the app down, and dig in and fix somethings. streamline the workflow even more, etc.

... i'm sick of stupid updates that bring as many problems as new features. more than new features, i need to the old ones to work right... all the time.

If it matters, learning python will probably look better on your resume than max if you're in the tech field. Also, I remember someone from spectrasonic or fxpansion saying they'd have some Python scriptable software coming out (that was a couple years ago though).

I think knowing both will produce some mind blowing things.
