hissy & pumpy Compressors?
hissy & pumpy Compressors?
Anyone know of any plug-ins? Either free or to buy?
If someone is gonna say is "well why would you want that???".
Not to be a dick, but don't worry about it, and go back to making Trance.
If anyone knows please post your suggestions.
thx!

The elemental audio plugin, Newodynium is fantastic for pumping, more so than any other plugin I've tried. It's bundled under Rodger Nichols garbage now and is probably three times the price it used to be, but I recommend it.
Awright Bawjaws, that smells lovely son, gies a wee taste!

I'm not sure if it's pumping the way you want it, but Sonalksis released a new plug in today -- TBK3 Über Compressor.
Couldn't try it myself yet, but people seem to like it a lot already.

Not if it's thin and sounds like ass. And why do an EQ8, POST compressor to thickin it up? I'll pay for the shit bro. I'm just not gonna be using shwag plugs for my sound. I carve my ass off for my sounds. And I gotta have the right tools. Now if I was making queer Trance, it wouldn't matter. Anything will do there.evernaut wrote:Vintage Warmer...
But any compressor can be hissy n pumpy if you set it to do so...

Fair enough, but you can get good pumping results out of any half-decent compressor - even Live's own - if you know what you're doing.Pantytec wrote:Not if it's thin and sounds like ass. Sound like you need hardware anyway - Joe Meek gear is quite coloured and aggressive-sounding or you could try the Fatman stuff from TL or the Really Nice Compressor....
