I had a lot of issues with noise on my old PC and decided after talking to IT guys that I would buld my own. Having my spec of PC built for me would have cost a small fortune, so after getting loads of advice and help from people who knew better, and were very kind to have helped I finally built my system.
I chose a Corsair HX620 PSU - deadly silent and modular. I only need a few cables at the moment but it seems pretty good and you get special reusable cable ties with it.
I also chose an Antec P180 case. Acoustically inulated, weighs a ton, but has three big fans. I have found that with my system I can run it happily on the slowest fan settings and not encounter any heat problems.
Lastly I chose a good mobo with great heatsinks built in, a thermaltake tower heatsink (no fan was needed), corsair dominator ram as that has heatsinks and an XFX graphics card as that too had a huge heatsink.
My mobos heat is registered at 28 degrees C on the slowest case fan settings, and the cp us at 34! Pretty good eh. I can publish the whole spec if anyone wants later.

Just dont ask me for advice on PCs
