if you don't hit dashboard after a reboot, the widgets will not load.
don't believe me? reboot, look at activity monitor and search for "dash" almost nothing should come up
then hit F12 or whatever hotkey you have for dash (i reassigned mine so i can use F12 in ableton) and then look at sys activity.
if you aren't using them, turn off bluetooth and airport as well.

Preferences on OS X are stored as simple (well, sometimes not so simple) regular files (there's no 'registry') in /Users/you/Library/Preferences/... the file you're looking for is com.ableton.live or something similar.DJSK wrote:Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I have heard that there is also a way to delete your preferences folder to reset Live and get it to work better. I know how to do this in Windows but not in OSX. Anyone know?
Edit - just checking, it's actually in a folder called 'Ableton' in the above folder.
