HAHAHAHA I would swear you were making that up if I didn't already know that stupid f*ing movies are made constantly.

I saw part of DOOM today while I worked cause the dish network booth was near mine (I have a booth... yes) that looked pretty terrible too.

in all seriousness though if I was gonna have samuel jackson in my shark movie I would definetly have him get eaten and have him screaming "aw damn, aw damn, naw this ain hapnin you ain tellin me a motha fukin sharks in dee's watas." and then he'd totally get eaten. and I'd say "good movie..."

open water: they go diving, then get eaten by sharks ages later. very very depressing pointless film. looks like it was surprisingly cheap to make though

No, no - isn't that the one with Nick Nolte diving for treasures somewhere in the
Bermudas?

(Okay, I'm just doing this for the fuck of it - I see great potential in this thread. )

Are you referring to "The Jaws of Satan"? I see Christina Applegate listed, but
not Jaqueline Bisset.

Agreed. but do you think it was a good film?

I do.

I hate to say I enjoyed it because it doesn't sound appropriate given the content, but most of the movies I think are good aren't enjoyable per se.... Schindlers List, The Pianist, Hotel Rwanda. the Constant Gardener, Syrianna.... etc.

Depressing, pointless tragedies for the most part.

The only thing my wife hates more than going to the video store with me is when I get to pick the movie...

I like that movie...but for a strange reason I guess - my wife and I watched on the last night of our 2 week honeymoon storkling (etc) in Fiji...thankfully it was AFTER the trip rather then before :-)

so it's 'our' movie is a creepy kind of way 8O

I think it was an interesting film, never having experienced dying in the wide open sea, but I also think its very bleak and should be more of a short than a whole film, although that feeling of futility you get from it would be lost I guess.

I get what you're saying, but I dont think its as powerful a topic as say the grey zone, or schindlers, as they're about much heavier things
