//\\//\\Ten Reasons NOT to pay for ableton//\\//\\
i'm wondering where you got .nki's without kontakt or another NI sample player?
weren't those .nki's delivered with another sampler format?
plus, you know that sampler's limitations (only 1 "zone") won't allow you to play the .nki's as they were originally designed?
maybe you should get the software they were originally meant to be played with....

YES, but if you buy AL7 suite, you get all of the instruments and content included.attrib wrote:to be fair when u look at all the stuff u get with logic pro ... i dont think we should have to pay for sampler and operator they should be included in the price dont u think?
Mac are playing the game that is "look we have the best DAW at the best price but you need to buy one of our expensive computers to run it"
The instruments are much nicer IMO in Live than the ones in logic.
I have a mac so no problem, someone who hasnt got a mac has the choice of Live, Sonar & cubase.
You could also compare with NI range - at the moment its £699 for komplete.

I bought them from a company who specialise in sample libraries. It came in a format SAMPLER does not deal with, halion or something, plus NKI, plus soundfont. the soundfonts aren't as high-fidelity as the samples referenced by the NKI's. SAMPLER is supposed to work with nkis, so I bought some nkis. go to HELL if you're suggesting I'm in the wrong for expecting SAMPLER to work with these libraries. The ONE nki that did import plays perfectly, thanks for asking. and now that we're finally getting some place with live 7 and getting them to import, they are playing perfectly there too. well, once the sustain decay & release settings are imported correctly or edited.

yes, the nki's play fine in NI software. and now that live 7 can import the libraries , albeit randomly for now, SAMPLER plays the nki's exactly as kontakt does...only a slight volume difference. ask amaury.peeddrroo wrote:have you tried playing those nki's with some NI software? do they play fine?b0unce wrote:I bought them from a company who specialise in sample libraries. of course I contacted the company , way back in march. we have ruled them out of the equation. They have been as helpful as possible. it's certainly an ableton issue. OK??? Jeesus, get with the program or read the god damn thread[s] before throwing your hat in the ring.

Is there any need to be so abusive to everybody.

for the record
It is on the boxed version isnt it?

WIthout checking though.

We've can offer a refund to people not happy with the product they bought, and we also offer free products to someone who is particularly helpful, at occasions. That's what it takes to be a "bad business model" oriented company. Feel free to behave as you wish, but please try to match private/public communication, it's too complicated otherwise.
Kind regards,
Amaury
if you or ralf had offered me that refund 8 months ago, back in march - maybe it would have meant something. As far as I'm concerned it's not a refund situation now, because you can't refund the last 8 months of my time.... not only did the original .nki's go unused, but I didn't experiment and try anymore nki's. I just waited, and waited, and waited ...I could never have guessed it would have taken 8 months to be sorted out ....in the next version.
No, this is a compensation situation IMO. Besides, I've invested time into ableton and all my projects are live projects. why should I trash all that investment of time instead of ableton doing what it should do, and living up to it's promises.
I mean, I was under the impression germany had some of the best business/consumer laws & standards in europe.
Just because I'm the only person who noticed/highlighted this flaw to you, does not mean you can still advertise it as fully functional on your website.
The fact i'm the only one nagging you can mean alot of things, such as most people with nki libraries 'own' kontakt too. SAMPLER/llive6 is no less flawed because of that - but it would certainly explain why so few have nagged you about it.
infact, I recall two or three other forum users talking about that open-with-kontakt-and-resave-the-patch workaround.
good for them, damned if I was going to buy kontakt to attempt the workaround or run the libraries. well, I know the workaround doesn't work for these nki's - but buying kontakt to run the libraries is what would have been applicable to me in this situation.
maybe you, or your team leader, should have bought me a copy of kontakt months ago when you knew it would take this long to fix ? SAMPLER/live6 would have been just as flawed - but I wouldn't have been nagging you....and so by your given logic, if no one is nagging you - it works as advertised.
I'll keep behaving as I usually do, perhaps I'll keep any eye on my choice of words with regards cracks
LOL! bOunce wants to be compensated!
You are a fucking retard and should retire the software if it isn't good enough for you. Take your money and run. Nobody wants you here.
I can't imagine how much everyone who knows you must hate you.

two more smilies, and you'd have had a smilie for every month ableton have taken to address this nki issue. Another smilie and that would be the same amount of time it takes a fuckin human being to gestate inside it's mother's belly.
From hot slop, to kicking & screaming in the same amount of time it takes SAMPLER to import a sample library.
was that intentional ?

anyways ladies,
I'm tuning out of this discussion now.
Its obviously a farce if I've got people asking me if I've been in touch with the sample company, if I'm sure the nki's work in kontakt - etc. I made my point, I made observations on the ableton business model in another thread and I backed it up with facts when it was demanded of me. make of that what you will. and ask yourself if you're letting standards slip.
Big ups!
