Yep.....
Everytime I say, I use Live, people are like "what?"
And I have to say "Ableton Live"
Then they are like "oh ok, you use Ableton"....
why does everybody say Ableton?

I think that sometimes in a loud club especially, when someone asks you,
"what do you use to make those phat beats yo!"
in the past:
"thanks man, I use Live!"
(subs pumping)
"what!"
(subs pumping)
"I said.... I USE LIVE!!"
(subs pumping)
"WHATTT!!!!""
(subs pumping)
"I use ABLETON!"

"Oh,..........................
,,,,...... sounds German."

I call it Live for just this reason,,,benj_sp wrote: The guy who said that the word "Live" is too generic a term is bang on - the connotations of the word are very strong (in the music arena especially) and the DAW connotation to that word is not nearly as strong.
In my view Live is a performance tool that can be used as a DAW, where as some thing like Logic is a DAW that can be used as a performance tool,,
So,for these reasons, i feel Live is brilliantly named as it implies that the product is aimed more at Musicians and performers than the other DAW's that seem to be more directed toward "Producer/engineers",,
