Romania where he is from is neither Germany neither Hungary. It has its own cultural identity dating back to the Roman Empire when Germans and Hungarians were still hords roaming around Europe. Cretu along with Mircea Eliade and Georges Enescu is one of the most prominent Romanians of modern times.
He was part of Munich disco school along with Frank Farian - Boney M "maker". Cretu was the arranger and keys behind many a classic disco hits.

Thanks, I meant Romania (don't know where Hungary came from except I was HUNGRY at the time I wrote it).

Yes, Cretu was responsible for disco mixes but like Giorgio Moroder he was always big on technology, his Legionnaires album was quite cutting edge for 1982-83 in an electronic sense, he adopted digital recording early and was very much into sampling too.

Tamerlan, Timur'Leng, Timur i Leng, Lenk begh is new to me. Actually the last mongolian Khan. Today the name is both turkish and russian and probably used in some other countries around these areas as well. I did my homework.

Both are, and both are presets. But I added a Piano sound (preset too) to Dreaming to make it slightly more percussive. The name of the files corresponds to the name of the presets.

I admit I always likes the gregorian chorus back then and probably still would. Sandra never touched my heart though, but can see on TV again these days.

I think Tom's Diner was after Enigma and you'd need a little more than just the beat to associate it...but that is one of those great songs that everbody knows and most don't know what the fuck it's called or who it's by.

You know, it's that du-du-dudu du-du-dudu song. Oh yeah, that one!
