OT best response to the boyfriend statement

Post by beats me » Fri Apr 25, 2008 6:47 pm

With many years in the field I've come up with a lot of good responses and actions to certain social situations, but I've never come up with a good come back to "I have a boyfriend" which is even more unnerving when you didn't say or do anything that would justify that information being presented.

I think this guy has come up with the best response.

You're probably thinking it anyway so why not just come out and say it.

The examples in that video are fairly harmless but I'm sure you've been in that situation where you're having a really god time or conversation with somebody and she has to blurt out "I have a boyfriend" for no reason whatsoever other than she is feeling guilty for enjoying your company and being overly flirtatious. That's when I want to do exactly what this guy did, my hero of the week.

Great video.

My response was always "Oh, it's ok, I don't mind." Which worked... very occasionally.

actually, not too far from my usual response whenever i find myself in that situaiton:

"oh is he here? no? well then out of sight, out of mind, right honey?" (a little risky but sometimes it does wor). :D

I usually say something like:

"well, I don't want to fuck your boyfriend!"

People seem to forget the fact that girls cheat on their boyfriends. A lot. "I have a boyfriend" usually means "I am in an unhappy relationship and need a sense of adventure and excitement"
