Is Akai MPD32 compatible with a mixer?
Is Akai MPD32 compatible with a mixer?
I'm a DJ who wants to incorporate sound effects/samples into my live set, was wondering if the mpd32 is good enough to do this, and is it compatible with any mixer?
thanks in advance

What do you mean compatible with a mixer?chrisp131 wrote:I'm a DJ who wants to incorporate sound effects/samples into my live set, was wondering if the mpd32 is good enough to do this, and is it compatible with any mixer?

The mpd is a midi controler, yes you can use it to trigger samples, loops,to control effects.

yeh, u want an mpc 500/1000, a 500 is probably more suitable. however the mpc range r also sequencers and might also not be the right thing as they are definitely not suitable fx units. my best recomendation would be an sp-404 or sp-303. much more suitable for a dj environment, and they hav fantastic fx onboard.
