Rahlo, what's the best way to get a track to you?

Kabuki
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

Rahlo I'm unfortunately piking out of the remix comp .

1) I 've got pancreatic troubles again (so I'm to the specialists today) ,hospital Friday and another specialist on Monday.

2)The track I've done I've pulled the vocals from and I'd rather it go on my first release as a jazz fusion type breakbeat glitch thingy.

Sorry but I'm afraid it's too good a tune to part with mate :D
Infact it's an outright corker if I may say so myself.
Goes too well with BlackMonolith ,Not All There ,Oesophagus and Technology Subdivisions 1&2 so I'm being selfish and shelving it for my own project (sorry mate) .
Just gotta rework Iceberg and In the Mouth of Madness and I've got a CD's worth of very good material.

My apologies mate - hope the project goes well.
I'm rather protective of the few musical gems I create as they really are a labour of love (and alot of days, months hours usually 6-8 weeks per track) and I had started this before the project and thought I'd try the vocals with it) ... but alas I like my non-vocal musical jaunts a wee bit too much.

Good luck interested in hearing the tremixes myself.
Take care

Dude, don't sweat it—forget the remix competition. Take care of your health. I hate to see you drop out, but first things first, ya know?!

Holla back at me when your out on the other side of this thing, man. There's still a chance I could do a short tour over there, and it'd be great to meet you!

Whaddup Dayz?

It's hectic man, cats trying to get their entries in at the last minute and stuff. We've got about half the cats that entered submitting stuff, which means at this point there's almost 50 remixes for us to listen to and decide on.

You heard it hear first: There is some serious heat manifesting from this contest. A Steinberg employee even hopped on the bandwagon and submitted an ILL remix of one of the songs!

You will hear from me soon, baby pop! We're organizing things now!

the blackSoil project remix competition results

Post by Rahlo » Sun Apr 10, 2005 4:57 am

Whaddup ya'll?

Remember that little remix competition we held a few months ago? yeah, it took me a minute. . . or two. . . or three, but I've finally got the winning remixes posted on my website. I apologize for how long it took to get this stuff up, but man, some of the remixes are straight up volcanic!!

We had over 90 cats from around the world (most of them residents of this forum) respond and ask for the link to download the aca pellas from our most recent album (the calm before the storm), and then got about 60 tracks back to listen to and decide on.

To all of you that submitted remixes--know that we truly appreciate you taking the time to hit us off with a piece of your own creativity. You cats are dope, and the spirit of sharing and creating that this funky little competition sparked has been a real highlight for me. Thanks!

You can download the winning joints AND the runner upshere.

Hey, I cant believe I won one of the remixes! Its made my Sunday morning:-) Great news!

All of the remixes I have downloaded so far are really sweet. Some of the sounds are just amazing, really nice and deep. Lovely production also.

Well, good to see the contest completed, enjoying the results of all the work here.

Thanks David! Your work is top notch bro--I'm way into ambient/downtempo stuff right now, so your joint hit me in the right spot.

I'll try and get that link updated asap! Thanks again for taking part in the whole thing dude!

fsk, were you able to figure out the download issue? I tested them, and the downloads have worked fine for me and others who've contacted me.

Holla back and let me know.
