Right, so they can make more $$. But aside from using a crossfader to crossfade, it could also be useful for other things like effects. Some people like a left/right motion instead of up/down.

Did anyone get one of these? The delivery date on my order keeps getting put back so I still have time to cancel if it's not worth it.
..?

Don't cancel! We need somebody on this board to report on it. That person could be you.

Plus I'm assuming wherever you bought it has some sort of return policy. So use, abuse, report, and return if you lose.

personally, i am very carefull with stanton products which require support, e.g. are software based, or stuff requiring drivers.

looking at how they suddenly dropped final scratch out of nowhere...

even, i am very happy with my scratchamp2 for DJ-ing, but then again i got it for free, would never buy it though...

just my 2cents

I've been reading on the serato boards from some people who I believe were beta testers and they say it seems to be a pretty well built product. I can't comment on it's intergration with ableton live but I've heard good things about it working with serato. I have a feeling it is more gearded towards DJ application just by looking at the templates available direct from stanton. And yes Ableton is used by DJ, but I'm tgalking about timecoded applications.
