Seriously; thanks for posting all those links, it might behoove folks to save them off somewhere just in case...

Now that depense on the mic, if you record from a £250 mic your get good results but if you get a mic from your local supermarket, do you really think it's going to be as good?? is the drum hit going to punchy, recorded in a recording studio, or in you bedroom?john doe by choice wrote:I don't mean to be a jerk, but that's bullshit.ava wrote:Your better off purchasing some sample cd's, if there free there probably aint much good...

How many companies out there put a case that's worth more than the diaphragm on a mic and sell it for 250?ava wrote:Now that depense on the mic, if you record from a £250 mic your get good results but if you get a mic from your local supermarket, do you really think it's going to be as good??john doe by choice wrote:I don't mean to be a jerk, but that's bullshit.ava wrote:Your better off purchasing some sample cd's, if there free there probably aint much good...
And if you're telling me that good things aren't produced with free/cheap tools, you're absolutely insane - I've heard music from used Ataris and Commodore 64's that blows away everything that's ever made the billboard charts in the last twenty years, and I know there are a bunch of people in this forum that will agree.
If the price of your tools means more than your technique, you're in the wrong forum.
