yes, so do i, i want my wheel for other stuff. For the most obvious of all, editing the controls of the GUI.
The sliders, knobs, selectors. The things you do a trillion times!
I mean, how do you edit a slider or a knob in Live right now?
1. you point on it with the mouse, which means: move your arm
2. you click on it with the mouse, which means: move your finger back and forth
3 you drag it up or down to the desired value, which means: move your arm
instead of 2. and 3. you could as easily just scroll the wheel, which means; just move your finger, ... somewhat!
And, you know, its just so much easier to move just a finger, than to move the whole arm, is'nt it?
Add a right-click to switch between scrolling in large increments and scrolling in fine steps and you're done.
And remember, you do that a trillion times, so how much RSI (repetitive strain injury ) could be prevented with just this simple thing?
So, come on Abes, move your braincells !
