Tell me I don't need to return my new Mac...
It is not reading my external hard drive. If I can't get it to do so, that's pretty disastrous, as I rely heavily on it for moving things from my previous PC and storing mass amounts of stuff my on-board 160G can't carry.
No Autoplay comes up, and I can't find anyplace where it indicates it is reading its connection (not in Finder or on the desktop).
I better find out soon 'cos I don't have iCare.

check with iDisk
applications -> utilities->iDisk
otherwise find Diskwarrior to recover/copy stuff to a mac-formatted hd
