I had warp mode set to Complex Pro in the pref's, imported a non-looping audio file, previously warped in L7, by dragging it into a session clip box. This changed the master tempo box to display "#J7" as BPM, and the sample was played back at a very high BPM rate.
Clip view warp settings not accessible, but dimmed in white/grey. The clip view bpm vindow displayed same BPM details as master tempo.
When previewing other samples in the file browser, all warped in Live 7, they played back with the same result as above. RAW function not accessible!
Solution: Entered Prefrences panel, set Warp mode to Beats, Clip view now displayed correctly for the beats setting. Changed to Complex Pro, all worked OK.
System setup: WinXP SP3, M-Audio FW soundcard with latest drivers installed.
8b12. Complex Pro in prefs, changes master tempo on audio

Did the audio file show up as a REX file when the prefs were set to Pro?
