I noticed a rather annoying "feature" after I upgraded to Live 8 yesterday; while the scaling of the interface seems like a nice addition to the feature list, it seems to slow down the update rate for the entire Live GUI. I mean comparing to Live 7 where all faders, dials and graphigs are lightning fast, Live 8 seems to struggle while I try to tweak knobs. And if I arm a channel for recording, Live's GUI becomes slightly faster than a slideshow! Anyone else get have these issues?
I'm running Live 8 on a 2.0ghz macbook with 4gb of ram and a 7200prm hard drive.
PS: anyway to "turn off interface scaling?

Works perfectly fine over here, with a unibody MBP. I see no difference in performance when scaling the interface either. If you set scaling to 100% no scaling is applied. I don't think you can turn it off anymore than that.
Maybe it's a graphics driver's issue? Have you checked for updates? Also, if you haven't already, do search
http://www.apple.com/support for any firmware updates that applies to your model. I've noticed that occasionally, OS X's built-in updater doesn't find firmware updates.
