If I might make a critique (I won't call it a suggestion because you can do what you want with your own stuff): A lot of your sounds sound a bit "out of the box." Making them a bit more unique would strengthen them in my opinion (there I go, making a suggestion). I'm a hypocrite though, because I just use the presets for my music (with tweeks here and there). Maybe it's because you have a vintage sound, but I can't help feeling like I've heard a lot of those sounds before. Then again, people have been playing guitars, trumpets, drums, banjos, mouth harps, etc. for decades with no change in sound and nobody complains about them. Maybe it's just a hang-up with electronic stuff.
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. Plus I appreciate you taking the time to look me up. I was a little bit behind in getting myself set up here but hopefully that's sorted now. And yes... there's a definite JMJ and Vangelis "bias" - perhaps with a hint of classic Doctor Who
That's a fair comment about presets. Finding the right balance between something familiar to listeners and something innovative is proving to be a bit of a challenge. Especially with a genre like ambient where, in many ways, you're trying not to stand out. I'll keep that in mind when working on next weeks episode where I really want to dig deep into the vintage analog sounds. I may have a mountain to climb
Thnx for your feedback.
