Ableton Live - Ultimate Hiphop tool...why?...folow me pls...
Ableton Live - Ultimate Hiphop tool...why?...folow me pls...
So I've read a couple of "can you use live for hip hop/r&b" threads here and there and i cant see how ppl
only think its a techno/house tool...ok so i get that many of the users that ppl know of are into those styles
mostly because of the performance aspect of it but i was playing around with the Live 8 demo, trying to figure out if
its worth the cash...and all i´ve done these past 2 weeks has been hip hop/urban music and such....
granted..I've recently gotten the padKontrol and i feel that the combo is like an mpc on steroids but still...
i mean you can do a shitload of sampling and sample manipulation and then start fucking around with the arrangement...
the only thing i would think that a daw like Cubase does better is cutting and editing in arrange view...other than that i feel that
padKontrol/Triggerfinger/Mpd + Ableton Live = mpc replacement and muuuch more....
yeah yeah...i know...the sequencer in mpc is supposed to be the shizznit... i´ve heard that and well...i guess i hope that someone will tell me the difference and call me a retard
im lé tired....

The only benefits that I see a MPC has over Live is that you don't have to use a mouse, and there is no latency.

for sure Live + padkontrol is the mpc killer bar none I think even Just Blaze said so, A real bigbeat battle would be between Live+padkontrol and the Native Instruments Maschine then I'd be like awwwww shizzy
it's on now! I don't know who would when though it would be just too close to call, check out this clip of my homey doin his thing rockin those block rockin beats

That has got to be one of the worst videos I've ever seen. WTF.... my 2 year old can do that. Was that suppose to represent talent/art/imagination? Is this where future artist are heading. OMG!

+1
I'm sick of that guy. He sits there and bangs on Maschine, and he's as offbeat as it gets. Someone please teach him how to program a beat.

techno is just a glorified hiphop (n' vise versa) the only problem one would have with ableton for hiphop is that your tempo defaults as 120.
