I confirm.

I ran the L8 test 2 weeks ago and my cpu reading was 76% at 8 tracks.

now after updating to 10.5.7 cpu reading is down to 58%.

MBP 17" C2D 2.4. Live Suite 8
it never ends. neither does it begin where you think it does. its only in your mind.

Does anyone notice better CPU usage with OS X 10.5.7 & Live 7 ?

Holy sh*t! I never even heard of this bug, but now some of my most CPU-eating projects have gone down from 55-60% to 30-35%! Also extra happy today because Ableton fixed a bug in their .2 update that was stopping me from opening a project with the error "Invalid Product ID". Such support!! ;);) I know it's OT, but I thought I'd share the "satisfied customer"-attitude a little, hehe.

i had never heard of this either. I was disappointed with the initial performance of my macbook but now it's flying
