I can care less for Operator (I already have Sytrus and Wusikstation for FM synths) but I love Live and see absolutely nothing wrong with them releasing a product as a demo.
FLS users have seen this for a very long time. Every plugin they sell come bundled in the installation, but you have to unlock them to be able to save them as part of projects.
The XXL deal they offer is *incredible* value for money.
Maybe that is my only wish here - that existing users could get a discount on Operator - but it's been only a few days, who knows what will happen.
Live has changed the way I write music - seeing Ableton try an old marketing trick (bundling demos) is not surprising, nor should it be taken as an offense as a lot of people seem to do.
