It's another thing to start bashing a company and it's users just because you want their latest product to be cheaper or free.

NO, wrong again. On the Henke/benshink/Operator post I had a confrontation with Deadbeat. READ THE THREAD AGAIN. There are users of this forum who have said a lot more negative things about Ableton than I have EVER done.
Im the only one to insult a forum user am I???. Take a look around Hoffy and see whats really going on. I did not insult Ableton as a collective. See my original response to 'Deadbeat" at the bottom. You need a refresher course.

What planet are you on. The word ARSE in the ENGLISH language is not considered a profanity. Its even heard on daytime TV in the UK. deadbeat has some kind of association with robert. Wouldnt his comments be redundant and biased. Perhaps I should have said his comments to benshink should be void because of his association with heinke. Would that have been better for you.

NOT ONE TIME did I advocate that operator should be free. Again I repeat I did not bash Ableton. I am on record as saying I like operator but wont pay the asking price. Is that clear enough for you? Please get your facts straight.

Your now calling me SADISTIC. Are you crazy? but you are right , your not the most like-able person after your Sadistic comment. To me thats 1000 times worse than saying someone has their head up another persons arse.

if you care to go to the thread theres around 6 responses to Benshink and all of them reasonable. Then I read Deadbeats response. It was childish and designed simply to make benshink look foolish. I responsed pretty damn nicely. Of course I could post them all here. This thing has has got completely out of hand due to one smart ass, and that aint me.

I didnt find Benshink post funny. While it was emotional he did have some valid points. Its perfectly plausable that Robert went on his own mission on this one and the company played along. How do you know there wasnt resistance in the Ableton Camp?
I have stated that I like Operator, but I wont buy it at the asking price. No big deal.
Ben pointed out some stuff that Robert has said about his Operator and there does seem to be an element of me me me. Nothing wrong with that but there were and still are far more pressing needs for Ableton Live than an FM synth.
There can be little doubt that a lot of resources, time and effort went in to operator from Robert. I cant help wondering who was working on all the really crucial stuff while operator was being designed.

The negative attitude toward Operator is based on need. No one needed a new synth except Robert and Forge so when it arrived after the Ables had pumped it up all secretive like, well obviously it was a let down for many, and emotions came to the surface
