Prodigy and Pendulum i guess have a lot in their songs.
Really big bass...
And another how does it work with drum and bass???
Doesn't the bass like swallow up the drums???
Any tips
P.S. : Thank You.
I concur. The clever EQing is great. Not only can you tweak your sound to sound great but you can tweak it to fit in the mix great. It's a win win situation FTW.re.mark wrote:Its all about clever EQing in the right places.

Apparently not, those are the most widely distributed bits of advice in dnb etc atm. Even in Computer Music video tutorials etc. Try it out with a beefy bassline with a compliamenting drum rhythm with those low cuts on the kit and it works surprising well.IP wrote:re.mark wrote:Highpassing Kick drums at 100hz and snares at 200hz so theres more room for the basscut low from kicks @ 100

Isnt it tooooooooooooooooooooo much low cut?
The bass may have its place but the kick and snare will be like a farts grain

Obvuiously its not the method used on 100% of dnb tracks out there, but thats the 'in-thing' right now.
Well the principal comes from earlier jungle. think about 90s jungle from the UK. Its all about the amen break, pitched up. so the drums are really kinda tiney and high, then youve got this huge amount of space for your reese/bass (which was usually an 808 sample looped very quickly or detuned saw waves).mike@TrackTeam Audio wrote:Cool Ideas, seems a bit much to go filter instead of a shelf or notch though, eh? Ill give it a go.
