I dunno what is your point about immigration, but your links have articles contradictory about the subject.. some are so lame not funny... do you know how to read???
You're just a COP. Gotcha!!!!!
Brit with a Green Card here. So far I've had 3 cavity searches at DC airport, and one at Philadelphia. Must be the people there, cause I've never had problems at New York, LA, Atlanta or Nashville.reset wrote:Well,
having recently obtained my us green card (finally), I have to say that the whole US immigration procedure/policy is pretty humiliating.
When I came back from our honeymoon in Costa Rica we had to enter through Houston International Airport. Aside from the Hitler like statue of Bush in the terminal, the immigration officer took me in their little office because they had to adjust striaghten out my visa. In said office there was a poster hanging with the twin towers falling and the line "...never again..". That I say is pretty fucked up. Almost worse than the border between eatern and western Germany used to be.
However, I did have somewhat better experiences at other ports of entry: NY, Atlanta, Detroit and Charlotte were ok. No hassles, no bullshit.
Philadelphia on the other hand tried to pull a cavity search on me. Take my advice: avoid philly.
just my $0.02.
Just a comment on this quote. About two months before the election both Time and Newsweek had GWB on the cover in these JFK like noble poses, with headlines about his singularity of vision. Right then and there I knew GWB was going to win the election, and it was simply because the two magazines that 90% of the country sees every day in the checkout lines at grocery stores across the nation had just painted GWB as this historic figure. Nevermind the article, that doesn't matter one bit, it's the image that was presented.12micsn1 wrote: Wasnt the media who were openly biased against GWB? An still 3 million more people voted for him. You definitely dont know what your talking about.

I dont think people coming to the US really understand why the US policy is so strict for entering here. The US not only has a problem with possible terrorist but also with illegals crossing over the borders for work. Both problems have a big impact on the US economy and social system. Most people outside the US dont have the whole picture to look at or care about doing so. Its not your problem right?
IMHO I think this is whats it's about. Economy disguised as politcs.Don't you worry, it's for a cause

For the most part, as long as problems like this dont occur on your soil,"do you think any government is going to implement anything?" Maybe, we should all go out an test every nations government or monarchy with terrorist bent on mass destruction an see what happens. Sounds like a great idea. NOTT!!! If I was a suspected terrorist would you want to know everything about me entering your country. Especially, if im capable of such a act that occured on 911? I know thats a "yes" even though I cant hear you say it out loud. I wish the rules were different but I rather see this policy in place then knowing nothing was being done since 911. It took 3,000 people to die to for the US to make real change of its policy. I feel this guys pain about not wanting give out his personal information but its all comes down to security good or bad policy that it has become. Wouldnt you agree?
like i said, a spoon-fed mentality from the propagandized mainstream media elite. i think you want to stay above the water in this debate, you should go watch outfoxed, control room, and farenheit 911.12micsn1 wrote:Let me go back my lastpost I said. I did a Google Search an I found the info to back up my statement on why the US has the policies they do. Excuse me for taking mainstream websites as a source of information show my example from the various media outlets
that is your assumption, i think you should get out of your cozy american mentality and see how the world really is. go and befriend people from all types of cultures and backgrounds, and see that the majority of the world does not relate to the small minded american mentality.12micsn1 wrote: Most people relate better to the mainstream media correct?
and the teapot is calling the kettle black. no offense but you really need to open up your mind, and explore things. you are not searching for truth, you are instead just accepting whatever the bully on the block tells you to. you are living in fear.12micsn1 wrote:A couple of news reports probably contradict each other thats call "spin news". That goes on everyday maybe the reason why people have conflicting view points an cant agree.
thank you so much..i'v been looking for this and never expected it all to be in one place!!
