No backlighting for any buttons or pads.
Ive tried to contact ableton with no success. I love the push controller, but have a serious issue. The pads will not light up. The pads work in function but when I turn PUSH on they light up for a split second then turn off. It started after owning it for a week, so I returned it. Just got the new REPLACEMENT today and Im having the same issue. Is this a software malfunction, or something to do with my settings? It is very frustrating...

It sounds very much like this is a problem of your setup.
What OS and Live version are you on? How do your MIDI preferences look like? Do you use other remote scrpits? Is there a M4L device which might grabs the matrix somewhere in your set?

Have you tried plugging the power adapter in, while leaving the USB unplugged? I'd assume that at least that mode would work.
That would mean the lights are illuminating and functioning.
Next is firmware/script/software communications and setup.

Also make sure that your Push firmware and Ableton software are up to date.
