After listening to both takes in Live and Tracktion, i have to say i greatly prefer the sound quality of the Tracktion take. Not sure why this would be... any ideas?
Improved Sound Quality
Improved Sound Quality
The sound quality in Live 5.2+ is good. However, i did an experiment recording an acoustic guitar into Tracktion and into Live, with the same mic/pre/a-d converter/mic-placement.

Ditto on this, which is why group render is requ so you can mix in another DAW, unless the audio engine is overhauled in Live6.Graysun wrote:The sound quality in Live 5.2+ is good. Yeh, no mention of this in the announcement, any alpha testers or Abletons themselves shed any light on what sort of changes (if any) we can expect?primo wrote: Ditto on this, which is why group render is requ so you can mix in another DAW, unless the audio engine is overhauled in Live6.

The point is to find the right warping mode for the right sound.Cryptic UK wrote:Yeah but can you loop with it off? without using follow on actions aswell.hoffman2k wrote:Turn off warping!!!
No warping = no artifacts
Warping = trial and error
It all really depends on how you work with the sounds you have.

It's possible in Live for all I know.Cryptic UK wrote:I dont want work arounds its simple, loop without warp on.
do you know if this is in live 6?
thanks.
If you don't want warping. You can loop in repitch mode.
If you don't want it repitched and not warped, then use follow actions.
Where's the workaround in this or what are you missing in Live?
