Just watching Robert Henke's video where he makes a grain delay matrix in Live to create the sound of a thunder storm.
Does anyone else know of any cool grainular techniques to make enviromental sound like this?
Enviromental Effects
just use your imagination and experiment
i used the Live Vinyl FX as a random sound generator to sculpt an ambient environment that includes both drones and transients... hands-free. as soon as the set opens, it's rolling
you might also find TAPESTREA software interesting. it's a program for deconstructing and restructuring ambient recordings
good luck and have fun

(I am just testing it now and wanted to check here in the forums if it was discussed already here, only this message was found by the search engine, seems not to be so popular here, so far.)
