I think it depends on the type of music you're making. If your music is tight to a beat, then I would see no reason not to use just Live. If you're building complex time/tempo-based songs, you will most likely need to use another tool as well, IMO.

Do you talk like that in real life, or are you just trying to have some "forum cred" or something?

Because of its limitations with tempos and odd key signatures, I am forced to do most of my work in Sonar, and then use Live for little more than triggering when on stage.
