Re: Considering push for 64 pad fingerdrumming

I think intro has 8 tracks and 8 scenes. As long as it has drum racks and simpler its definitely possible.

You could have 8 separate 64 pad layouts in one project

Excellent thats all I needed to know. I finger drum live with an indie band and think this will allow me more options than my mpc ...

Considering push for 64 pad fingerdrumming

So I saw that since the new update push can handle having a 64 pad drumrack can anyone tell me is this possible in the copy of Live intro that comes with the push hardware. I have no interest in the other instruments etc that come with the full version of live as I already own Native Instruments ...

Re: Elektron Octatrack Review

I agree with most of what you say about the octatrack. But there are a few things I find really annoying.

1. The limitation to 8 tracks means that if I want to do complex beats I end up either suing a lot of loops (not my thing) or I have to put multiple samples on the same track which is both ...

Re: ? Your Thoughts on the Octatrack creating complete songs

I have the octa and find it to be very inspirational, but if you wan to do "straight" hip hop or pretty much any standard genre of music you might find that something like an MPC or NI Maschine will serve you better. I love the octa but its best for experimentation and remixing of beats you made ...

Re: @ Tarekith [maschine&live]

@ glitchrock - I agree totally with the drum racks thing. I too was relying on them before Maschine. Now I look @ Abletons drum racks as a joke compared to Maschine. Everything is controllable-tweekable-editable with ZERO mapping. God bless you NI. God bless...

If maschine gets the ability to ...

Will MAX Files be lockable to licenced users?

Ok so as a professional sound developer will I be able to program MAX plugins and effects for ableton and lock them down so they are only usable by users who pay for a license?

MAX in Live certainly looks interestingly from a sound design point of view but if there is no way of licensing the end ...

Definitely agree that it all about distortion (well that and EQ and compression :) ). Personally I've done some leftfield loops for a sample collection called Abstract Percussion in which one of the things I found useful was actually amping up a really old Marshall stack in weird feedbacky kinds of ...

Agreed, more stuff like what you get in the "suppatrigga" VST would be cool, reverse slices, slow slices, drop slices, etc.

I create everthing from scratch in reason or sonar, then output it to wav files for live mixing and mashing in live, occasionally I drop loops or bits and pieces of recognesable songs over the top for that "I recognise this" vibe occasionaly for the audience :D

I was wondering which magazines have them. I know Future Music does.... but any others?

To be honest Ive always found that ebay was quite a good placefor ...
