Re: "This VST plug-in is not compatible with Live." - huh?!

thanks, i just got it working a few minutes ago. had to re-install ABL2, but it's working now. no idea, it was working fine but just recently started with this error.

Windows 7
Live 8.0.9
ABL2 v2.1.2

(yep, a bit out-of-date on the versions, but they're working well otherwise.)

"This VST plug-in is not compatible with Live." - huh?!

Failed to load VST "ABL2"
This VST plug-in is not compatible with Live.

uhh, what?! for some reason, Live is now refusing to play nice with AudioRealism Bassline 2. this is the fully registered version, and was just working the last time i tried it maybe a week or two ago. now it won't load. i ...

a month or so ago i was browsing the forum and saw someone mention a possible MIDI sync fix using a text file that had to be created and put into the Live7 preferences(?) folder. searching now i can't find any mention of it. any ideas?

MIDIbox SID - anybody using one with Live?

wondering how well the MIDIbox SID gets along with Ableton. able to easily automate CCs in real-time on it? any limit before it starts locking up? i was thinking of starting with a basic unit under CC control. any Live-centric advice, pics, or tunes would be cool. thanks!

i just got one of these as well. i don't think Ableton Live is mentioned anywhere on my page (in fact there's really nothing mentioned at all). no idea how/why they contacted me, maybe there's sending out to anyone who does electronic music?

I've heard of sampling delay pedals for guitar, are there any that have a trigger input so I could send a peak signal out of my computer into the 1/4 inch jack as a trigger?

I don't want just a looping device at all I want to be able to control things.

something like this?

sorry, i think it's a bit crap but after listening again thought that it at least shows what you can do. i fed it sequences of half, quarter, eigth ...

the sound from the Akai can be heard pretty much from the start ...

sorry i haven't checked back to this, i think i replied right before i went to bed.

what type of stuff are you looking to run into it? how long does the sample need to be? does it need to capture a perfect one-bar loop or anything crazy?

the Akai should be able to do most of what you'd like, if ...

how long does the sample need to be, and what paramaters do you want to control on it?

i used to do something like this with my Akai s612. it can only hold one sample (up to 8 sec's? depending on rate), so i would send it a sequence of 16th or 32nd notes from the MPC while sampling from a mic or ...

1. no, it would be great if you could control it via midi cc. can't see why they don't do this.

2. no, there's no control for audio coming from the computer. crazy.

i don't even bother with the cuemix software, other than using the onboard mixer when i need. i just set up a template with the in ...
