Ableton Live 5 for sale?
I'm looking for a copy of Live 5.x for an older Pentium III laptop that I want to use soley for MIDI sequencing. I get the impression that 6.x is loaded with new stuff that would make my laptop under the mark.
Any leads on where I could buy a copy? Nothing on eBay right now..

Sending program changes
How does one properly send a program change in Live?
I created an event in a track set to the correct MIDI channel for the device I am trying to send the PGM CHG to, then set 'Program' under launch to the number I need sent. When the event is triggered, nothing happens.

OK I rethought it and I *think* I know what you are saying now, but if you could just confirm that I am thinking what you're saying..
Is the idea here that I use an empty event that I somehow set to trigger immediately instead of the next interval? Then I map the button for the next scene to some ...

Triggering a command when cuing an event??
Is there a way in Live to send a command (Program Change, note or a CC msg) at the point that you *cue* an scene?
ie. you would click on a scene in the right-most column to cue it to trigger on the next interval, but it would send this signal at the moment you clicked.. then the scene would kick in ...

OK I had to read thru that three times, but now I totally get it.. The one last question I have though is.. that first MIDI clip with my CC msg in it.. is this an empty MIDI clip with no notes and a nudge on the CC envelope? Or does Live require there to be at least one note trigger in the clip for ...

Sending a CC value with each note
What is the best way to send a MIDI CC value with the trigger of each note within a MIDI loop? It gets kind of hairy trying to do so by drawing an envelope, especially since I want the same value to be resent with each note.
When drawing an envelope, it seems to only send the CC value when the ...
