The preamps are pretty weak tbh. I have it on high to record my piano with a sm57 and the signal hardly registers.

I haven't personally encountered this problem, but some users seemed to complain about the erratic behavior of certain knobs

I was wondering if anyone else has an issue with a knob that doesn't work right.

When I try to turn it up sometimes it turns it down first or sometimes it likes to move on its own randomly. If I push down hard it responds better but this really isn't ideal.

Anyone else with a bad knob?

I was jamming on Grand Piano. Suddenly it sounded more garbled and like the bitrate was getting crushed. Then the sound is ok, but the strip is stuck in the top position, so all the notes are up some semitones.

I've noticed that it doesn't show on the screen when the screen is on certain things. I will try to recreate it. It would still raise and lower the volume but you couldn't see which volume you were raising.

I thought this was only an issue with audio tracks. If you record with monitoring on, or on AUTO then ableton will record the latency to the track.

Well I tested my midi the same way and it appears to also record the latency if you are monitoring.

I am fairly new user of Ableton, and I love it!

However, I am having trouble synching my playing to the set. I think the problem is latency in my audio device.

For example, I lay down a trivial drum track. Hits on the beat. Now I strum my guitar on the beat. The recording I get is not ...

I just know if I try to process my guitar live through ableton I can hear a noticeable latency. I have a scarlEtt interface and pretty good pc laptop

I saw a couple videos of people processing directly through ableton. For instance there is a video where the depeche mode engineer runs the drums through ableton using the effects. Do they just deal with the latency? Is it unnoticeable?

I just downloaded the tabletop and it seems pretty awesome. The prices seem a little high to me though to buy the in app addons.
