Answer was what I supposed, but had to make sure before purchasing a mixer, so that did not have to first buy a mixer and then learn that some other mixer did make possible to record multiple channels simultaneously...

Does anyone if it was possible to utilize the audiophile 2496´s "coaxial S/PDIF digital input and outputs 4/4" to get 4 simultaneous tracks in to the LIVE?

In the Midi keyboard which I am using at the moment, there are recorder buttons like play, stop, rec etc.

Two button ffwd >> and bwd << does not have a function to which them could be straight midi mapped.

According some article that i read, that kind of function is in some controllers ...

... and as I am still working with these midi mappings, one feature wish more:

When turning a midi-mapped knob or hitting a button, there is in status bar a info:

Ch-1 / Mixer / Track Volume is waiting for a pick up

But it disappears when the controller has reached the level.

As an answer to myself, and others who has made a similar decision of buying a midi controller which is not natively supported by ableton live:

U-Control can send and receive the data of manually programmed presets.

The computer has to have a special application for that transformation, for ...

Other wish for this Midi mapping is that sometimes=quite often I find myself from the situation, where only reason to reach to the mouse/laptop keys from the keyboard is when I have to toggle between session and arrangement view.

I probably just leave one or two Midi-kbrd channel empty for the temporary assignments, which might be in a way probably even better, than wished "turning of a multi assignment," as it more organized way to do it.

If you decide to follow these intstructions, it might be good idea to reset the whole controller by pressing simultaneously
EDIT/EXIT button and MUTE buttons to see in display "Glp" for Global, and then turn the E14 rotary knob to FAC to bring back Factory presets.

I have somewhere live lite 4, so may be there is enough reason to install OS 9, to get to know how orange vocoder works and to learn it´s interface.

Of course it is not that handy, as it was if it was all in the same app, but if there is a real need to use vocoder, then it is not too big work ...
