I have updated to a new computer after a break from recording.

Will my Live 8 suite work on Sierra? I think my Live 8 is version 8.4.2 but not 100% sure.

Do you mean export audio from Live as I would as a WAV to burn to disc but just import into Pro Tools as a single WAV?

i don't see anything else about bouncing in the Ableton reference manual.

I have created a few tracks in Live using plugins like Battery 3 or Guitar Rig and a few others.

Then I tried to record an Audio track in Pro Tools with Live on and Aux track (using Re-Wire). This way you can record an Audio track of what you've done in Live.

I frequently find that when I apply an effect to one of my Clips, it plays on all of the clips in that track.

Sometimes I copy and paste a clip to the clip below so I have two versions and apply effects to the 2nd one making an alternative version.

But the effect then seems to apply to both clips ...

Thanks for your reply Bob - no reason other than I have yet to work out how to get it to loop for an extended period of time.

I will have a look around online to see how to use it efficiently and maybe it'll do the job. Also I need to see what footswitch I can use with it.

I have just been loop recording Midi for the first time - laying on different layers each time the loop goes around. This is fine.

However, I cannot work out how to loop record Audio Tracks in this way. I tried with a guitar.

Could someone explain how I can attach a Foot Switch to control looping in Live?

I would be using a 003 Interface if that helps. What pedal and where would I plug it in to?
