Re: Why do my tracks sound better inside Ableton than exported?
Ok so rendering as a 32 bit wav helped quite a bit. So did resampling the entire track instead of rendering. Either of these methods improved the output quality a lot. It's unfortunate I'll have to mash it into an MP3 (even 320kbps) to put it out in the world.

Re: Why do my tracks sound better inside Ableton than exported?
This is a track that I've developed using synaths, drum machines, effects, etc.
I use NI Massive, Z3ta+, Ozone, and several other VST's. When I play the whole thing in Ableton, it sounds great, but when I export it to a WAV file, it sounds crap.

Why do my tracks sound better inside Ableton than exported?
Hey all. So I've been making music in Ableton for a while now, and there's something that keeps bothering me. When I load a track up in Ableton and press play, it sounds great. The sounds are bright and loud and crisp. Then, I export it as a 16 bit wav at 44100 sample rate, and the resulting wav fil...

VST effects for DJing live
Hey all. So I want to start using Ableton to DJ live. I've built some pretty intricate sets in Ableton and I want to start playing them out. What I'd like to find is a VST that I can throw on the master channel to perform some live effects. So if I want to chop things up a bit, or if the crowd calls...

How to brighten up a track in a DJ set?
Hi all. So I'm making a new DJ mix in Ableton using MP3's. I have some slightly older tracks that don't compare to the new stuff in terms of sound quality. They're just a bit more muffled or flattened compared to the newer 320kbps tracks. Is there a way to brighten up those old tracks to sound more ...

Re: Ableton 8.0.1 stuttering, hanging, crashing, freaking out!!
Yeah so I updated to the latest version of Ableton and I'm still getting some stuttering issues in Massive 1.1.5. I found a temporary solution though. You have to delete the Massive database folder. It's under your application data folder, depending on what version of Windows you have. It'll be some...

Re: Ableton 8.0.1 stuttering, hanging, crashing, freaking out!!
Oh ok I'll give that a shot. Usually once I get my daw stable I try not to mess with it for fear of breaking my old tracks. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks.

Ableton 8.0.1 stuttering, hanging, crashing, freaking out!!
Ableton 8.0.1 stuttering, hanging, crashing, freaking out!! Hi guys. So I've been using Ableton 8.0.1 with NI Massive for a while now. Just the other day I fired it up to start creating some tunes. I opened up one of my existing projects and started playing. It played fine for about 10 seconds, then...

Hotkey to drop warp points while track is playing?
Hi guys. So I'm trying to do a DNB mix in Ableton, and the warping is all messed up. I've read some tutorials that say I should erase the auto warp points and drop warp points on the 1 beats. The only way I can find to do this is to scroll on the waveform to the 1 beat and double click on the warp p...

VST plugins don't show up in Ableton in Windows 7
Hey all. So I got a new laptop with 64 bit Windows 7. I reinstalled Ableton, but it won't recognize any of my VST or DX plugins. I'm using Waves, Absynth, Massive, Camel Phat, etc. Just a few random Waves plugins work, but everything else won't show up in the plugin window. Any ideas? Thanks!

Songs don't sound as crisp or clear in Ableton than in WMP
Hey guys. So I'm working on a DJ mix in Ableton 8. One thing that's been bothering me is that the songs (320kbps MP3s) don't sound as crisp or clear as they do when I play them in WMP or iTunes. I don't have any effects or anything. I'm just creating an audio track and dropping the song on there. I ...
