That doesn't make a difference if you're also trying to play live in the Clip / Note mode in Push.options>MIDI arrangement overdub

@lyovino
While recording, we aim to overdub live midi input using Push's drum pads alongside building up our clips using the Push's drum sequencer. We're trying to do a drum machine "live take"- no mouse movement ought to be involved.

Recording Push Drums in Arrangement Mode - issue / idea!
We had a Push issue that came up in a studio session recently.
While in Session Mode, we armed the Arrangement Record button at the screen with the intent to 'capture everything', including live drum pad playing alongside clip playback. The problem was that while we were recording to Arrangement ...

M4L Editor not opening when Max 6 is used
During earlier versions of Max 6 (incl. betas), this was not an issue, but for some reason, the editor is refusing to open Max with the most recent version of M4L. I click on the 'edit buton', then... nothing.
I switch back to Max 5 and it's not an issue.
Any ideas?
thanks,
C

Re: No transport syncing in Max 6 while editing the amxd files?
there is a bit of lag when editing through max 5. When using Max 6, however, the whole ability to edit based on what is happening with the transport is useless, due to the fact that the transport is disabled when an amxd file is open for editing.

No transport syncing in Max 6 while editing the amxd files?
Any patches I edit in Max 6 where transport or plugsync~ objects are loaded don't recognize Ableton's clock until the objects have been saved or switched out of 'Preview' mode.
This means any time-based plugins I'm editing can't be tested (nor the results heard) while Ableton's transport is ...

Re: how to sync the bridge to an external midi clock source
In Serato SL there is a mode in the Ableton panel that puts Serato in INT mode. This mode gives master clock back to Ableton, while keeping SL running separately in it's own clock. You still need to have SL hooked up to one of the laptops to getting working though.
maybe that helps?

Making a live.button flash via a MIDI note?
Seems like a simple situation:
I've created a live.button object in my patch and I want to use a MIDI note to make it flash and send a bang to my next object. Unfortunately, when I map my MIDI note into Live's MIDI mapper, it toggles the live.button on and off, instead of flashing it. I have a ...

Can I hide the "Device Vertical Limit" in original patches?
Hi again,
Quick thing I'm noticing in the Max For Live interface. In pre-made patches that come with Max For Live (Buffer Shuffler, etc), the 'device vertical limit' line is visible in the Presentation Mode, but invisible in the unlocked Patching Mode. However, when I want to create a new patch ...

Thanks for the heads-up, S4racen,
Do freestanding Max programs like this work inside of Max for Live? I do not (yet) own a freestanding version of Max.

update:
after some tooling around, I figured out how to achieve what I wanted via Osculator.
Basically, there's a specific commend under the Edit menu of Osculator called "Demux", which basically breaks down midi messages based on specific paramaters. In my case, I highlighted the "notes ...
