I had this problem with Live 6, and still have it with Live 7, and I can't find a solution, so any help would be appreciated. I have a Keystation Pro 88 controller hooked up to my Mac Pro running Live 7 (although this also happened in Live 6).

What I want to do is use the Fast Forward, Rewind, Stop ...

Just to follow-up: selecting all the notes and COMMAND-Click-Drag draws a straight line, setting all velocities to the line. Perfect! I appreciate the help here... this is excellent!

How on earth do I draw a straight line when editing velocities for MIDI notes? I see the draw option in the context menu, but that just appears to be a free-form pencil tool (basically). Isn't there a way to draw a straight line?

What I am trying to do is ramp up velocities in a smooth transition ...

Yes, I have been having multiple sustain related issues as well:

1. Sustain recorded during a take sometimes doesn't play back correctly. In other words, the notes don't sustain even though the sustain message was recorded.

The most likely reason that Live won't start again is because it isn't actually stopped. If you are running Windows, have you checked the Task Manager? If you haven't, check the Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL and click Task Manager) and look for the Live executable. You can try and stop it, but my ...

I don't know if I am seeing the same issue as you or not, but Live 6 seems to have a "preference" for its random color assignment. Most of my clips are the same color, and therefore not very random at all. Odd...
