Hi Everybody,

Over the past couple days I've had this inspiration for a piece. From what I can tell as I try to pad this idea is that there's lots of arpeggio. I've been breaking this piece down on paper as much as possible. Drums, tones, etc. and arp stages/patterns are integral, in and out.

Now ...

1 - that's your sound card playing with you, what is it? I get 192kHz sampling with mine (Edirol UA101.)

2 - Live renders to .wav or .aif.

1 - Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm using an Apogee Mini-Me. The conversion is done externally so I don't know why the sound card would be an issue.

1) This one might not be about 8, but what's with the Input Sampling Rate? Sometimes 96k is available and sometimes not. Some say that they can get 192 sample conversion to register in Ableton. How? I haven't seen it. What is dependent on Ableton allowing a certain sampling rate?

2) Exporting ...

You mean as an integral part of newer Ableton versions?

I only have Ableton 5.something w/ Rosetta nods.

Like, I imagine it's a relatively easy thing to do, but what's the most useful/flexible one in turns of down the road use?

There's got to be a kind of science as well as art to flipping on and of a switch really fast.

What's the best way? Just plain volume? Anybody with me on this one or can help ...

Hi Everybody,

I've been reading how-to's on importing files, but every file I import to Live is all wobbly sounding in the bass and all these little squares pop up on top of it.

What is that and why do my files sound so bad? I recorded the file in Garage Band, exported it as an aif. That and the ...

I have a G4 Powerbook.

It was happening when I was on an airplane, so maybe that had something to do with it. It's not doing it now. Now, I'm learning how much the Powerbook can handle at once.

Like ESPN.com kills it so I just shut off the Internet.

Hi, I've noticed that Ableton makes a hiss, hiss, hiss, hiss when I'm not playing or editing the MIDI section.

I'm not sure why it's doing this. Has this happened to anybody?

I bought a Firewire 410 twice. First one didn't work because Sam Ash didn't give me the driver (dorks). Second one I bought I had a slew of trouble with it on my blue G4 tower. At the point of being ready to get a replacement, I tried plugging it into my powerbook G4. No problems whatsoever.
