In your session view, make sure each track panning knob (they are in the mixer section) is pointing straight up (simply click on it and hit DEL to send back to default). This should give you stereo mix.

It's also possible that you recorded each mono file in stereo with the signal panned hard to one ...

I'm a Komplete Care owner. I just got an email from NI acknowledging the problems they've been having this year getting updates out to us, so now they are throwing in Massive! With that, the tutorials, the $150 credit at the shop, and the eventual updates. I'm feeling much better about that program.

Speaking of Diplo, he's been releasing his Mad Decent Radio podcasts for free. They are all pretty ace! Wonder if he did them in Live??

Hey there,

I use Live quite a bit. While I'm not a musician, I use live for all different kinds of scoring needs the I encouter as a theatrical Sound Designer.

I know there's a few others here in SD, they might not monitor the forum with much scrutiny though...

I'm primarily a ProTools user but use Live quite a bit either as a stand-alone or Rewired into PT. I need to keep my rig compact, so I've been using an Ozone for years without any complaints (as long as I don't use it for audio I/O). Digidesign/Avid acquired M-Audio, so any Ableton relationship with ...

As previously mentioned, the DUC is a great resource. The DAW-Mac mailing list over on yahoo groups is pretty good as well.

Look for a synth that plays the General Midi stock instruments...JV1080 comes to mind...these are pretty simple sounding patches.

Also, there is a Sonic Reality CD called Omnisoundz that has General MIDI patches on it for use in Reason.

Hope this helps!

Have you posted your problems over on the Bugs Forum?

Have you DL'd the latest beta (5.0.2)? It has a bug reporting feature, so that when Live crashes, your computer creates a report to send back to Ableton so they can look at what was going on when Live cacked....

Alex,

I can replicate the steps taken that produce the crash. Basically, all I have to do is hit the "Library" button on the browser, and then start using the "Folder Up" button after that. Once I try and move past the User level, Live locks up.

This happens on all 3 File Browsers and in both Live ...
