you cannot use cubase midi tracks to control live.

but u can
1. disable a midi input in the device setup of SX, and then that one should be avilable in a rewired live.
2. get a virual midi app like midi yoke or loopback (google it) and then you can choose a virutal midi out for a sx midi track ...

isnt it that the midi is "ahead"? audio is heard with latency attached, whereas midi doenst have latency, or is very small. (asssuming its a direct connection with no long daisay chains.)

im still looking for the best way to do this, too.

this hapeens to me and everyone ive talked to, for a while. i just got over it and kept working.if youare used to 8 bar intervals, you could start your song on bar 9 instead of 1.

i just tried to reproduce that, to no avail.
so it may be something in your system(s)...there are a lot of variables.

this may not be ideal, but u can go to geocities.com and get free storage space. i ve had an account there since college, and used it for things like this.
and you dont need an FTP to up/download!

i have used fruity and live rewired, in both master/slave and slave/ master, and it is rock solid. has been for 6 motnhs.

i havent done it wiht live 4 yet, but will today.

in case you're using cracked fruity, that would explain it, sicen you ...

i get it now. i used acid few years ago. im done with it...more ways than one...anyways.

maybe that key info was part of the "acidization" encoded in acid files.
i cant recall if acid did that for ALL wav files, not just "acidized" files.
i dont think it could guess the key of everything you put in ...

whether your drive is slave or master really makes little difference.
ive ran OS off "slave" before. im sure there is some reason not to, but it worked fine.

but i say do it. keep OS/APPS one one drive, and everything else (audio) on the new one. youll get better performance definitely, esp in long ...

use every tool available to you, as each and every are unique, with unique power.

fruity will host your dx stuff.

this is what i love about live 4. conventionally, in cubase or PT or whatever, you would have to create a channel JUST for the sub group use.

now, we can use any channel for that. ANY channel can go to any channel!
any channel can RECEIVE signal from 1 or more channels, and it acts as a GROUP ...

live 4 looks similar.
the BPM is circled red.
the Length is circled blue. this is the lenght of the PLAYBACK of the loop, not necessarily the lenght of the entire smaple, but quite often so.

LIVE will almost always guess the BPM and ...
