Pretty interesting... but I'm not sure I'd want to listen to 8 random people poking around on that thing for very long.

Using a different midi interface can help get you out of a drumming rut, too. Going from my midi keyboard to a Trigger Finger made a huge difference for me.

When you say same mp3, do you mean the exact same file, or do you mean an mp3 of the same song. Your copy of the file could be corrupted somehow.

You know, when I bought my Macbook I thought it would be fun to use Windows from time to time, check out some programs/plug-ins that aren't available for Mac, etc. Turns out that everytime I think about installing it, I just don't really want to be bothered. Eh, maybe someday.

You can download the demo of Live 6 and try it out for yourself. I personally don't notice much of a difference between the two on my old Mac mini G4 1.42GHz. I don't use battery, however.
