You have to slow slide the crossfader in midi edit. There are 2 volumes..

Depending on how much you slide the cross fader, make sure it states '1/70', this will give you the correct values L - R

I have an x-session pro and the cross fader is working in opposites. I've tried editing the map key and also trying to invtert selection via the left hand side options but this is not highlighted for me to select?

I HAVE A USB SOUNDCARD WITH 2X PHONO OUT PUT, 2X PHONO INPUT AND THEN A HEADPHONE OUTPUT.

I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WORKING OUT HOW TO SET UP THE OUTPUT SETTINGS WITHIN ABLETON.

I AM ABLE TO OUTPUT SOUND BUT DONE UNDERSTAND HOW TO SETUP FOR A LIVE DJ SET IN ORDER TO HEAR MY CUE WITHOUT SOUNDING ...

I am lookinf for a midi controlled cheap mixer that allows me to cross fade and listen via headphones without the need for further in/out outs on my laptop.

Firstly, does anyone know if the Behringer VMX100USB does the above?

Secondly, If not, can anyone recommend something.

I've just bought a veginner mixer to use with ableton and am having problems wetting this up.

The mixer connects via 2x usb for in and out.

I have managed to setup the sytem so that i can here the source material via my amp but am unable to setup the midi map as the program is not recognising ...

So I would need to use both usb ports on the mixer and link them up to seperate ports on the laptop? This would give me full control of what I want to acheive?

when i add a track to mix, sometimes, ableton creates long empty spaces at the end of tracks...why is this and how can i stop it?
